An Essential Guide through Cancer
Offered from an Oncologist’s Perspective

Rev. Windi Braden, RN (Ret.)
Knowledge becomes healing when it is offered with compassion, received with trust, and integrated with wisdom.
Spiritual Midwife · Medical Intuitive · Energetic Body Medicine · Health Sciences Educator · Co-Author
For more than four decades, Rev. Windi Braden has devoted her life to helping individuals and families navigate some of life’s most profound transitions with compassion, wisdom, and hope.
Her professional journey has been shaped by a unique integration of nursing, health sciences education, spiritual care, and intuitive guidance — devoting care to the whole person rather than focusing solely on disease.
Windi is currently co-authoring “An Essential Guide through Cancer,” a Cancer Series offered from an oncologist’s perspective, with Monique Semien, MD. They are beginning the series with a book on Breast Cancer.
In addition, Windi spent five years, well before AI, as the collaborative writer for El Chess. Windi sat with her, asked, listened, and distilled the information into a language that could carry a 12-step path for adults who were abused as children — honest enough to be useful, gentle enough to be received.
As a retired registered nurse, licensed minister, health sciences educator, and lifelong student of both science and the healing arts, Windi believes that information has the greatest power when it is communicated with kindness and received in a way that supports understanding rather than fear. Throughout her career, she has helped countless individuals make informed decisions by translating complex health information into language that is approachable, reassuring, and deeply human.
Her work extends beyond traditional health education. As a Spiritual Advisor, Life Coach, and provider of Intuitive Counsel, Guided Imagery, and Body Magic Touch®, Windi has dedicated her life to creating safe and compassionate spaces where individuals feel deeply heard, respected, and empowered. Her approach recognizes that every person carries not only a physical story, but also emotional, relational, and spiritual experiences that deserve equal care and attention.
The guiding philosophy of her life’s work is rooted in Sacred Wisdom Remembered® — the belief that within every individual resides an innate wisdom, resilience, and capacity for healing that can be gently awakened through knowledge, presence, compassion, and conscious awareness. Rather than seeing healing as something imposed from outside, Windi views it as a process of remembering the extraordinary intelligence already present within each person and supporting that wisdom with informed choices and compassionate care.
Visionary alchemist
I am a visionary alchemist. I have always sought to expand my awareness from the known to the unknowable.
I am a born intuitive, an empath, an oracle, and a medicine woman. The mandala has shaped and informed my life through dreaming, and stillness, since I was very young. I began to draw them when I was five. Their creation has now expanded to the sacred form that I offer today.
They awakened my consciousness, enlivened my understanding of divinity, and grace my life with profound insight. I am a lover of life, and as a visionary, I love to take photographs of the beauty and life I see around me. These mandalas are made from photographs I have taken along my life’s path.

The dreamer
Dreams have informed my life, and I understood that they were meant to guide others as well. My dreamer is an essential aspect of my life, and has long guided, informed, and provided me with the greatest insight and joy.
Jaguarwombyn
I was perhaps seven or eight when I first felt it — not with my eyes, but with something beneath my eyes. A room would fill with grown-ups talking about ordinary things, yet beneath their words I could sense the real conversation. I did not have language for what I was doing. I simply knew the pattern was there, the way a jaguar cub knows the shape of the jungle before it can see through the dark.
Most children are told the world is solid and straightforward. I seemed to have been born with night vision in a daylight culture. The Jaguar had already found me, though I would not recognize its name for decades.
Not just what is forgotten — what is asking to be Remembered!

A personal reflection
I have always believed that true healing begins the moment a person feels seen, heard, and understood. My hope is that these pages offer not only trustworthy information, but also a quiet place to pause, breathe, gather your strength, and remember that even in life’s most uncertain moments, you do not walk this path alone.
